چکیده

We study the localization properties of eigenmodes staggered Dirac operator in finite-temperature ${\mathbb{Z}}_{2}$ pure gauge theory on lattice $2+1$ dimensions. find that low modes turn from delocalized to localized as system crosses over confined deconfined phase ``physical'' sector (positive average Polyakov loop) selected by external fermionic probes, while they remain ``unphysical'' (negative loop). This confirms close connection between deconfinement and physical sector, already observed other models, holds also simplest displaying a transition. observe clear correlation with fluctuations loop away ordered value, expected according ``sea/islands'' picture localization, clusters negative plaquettes. A novel finding is presence at high end spectrum all phases/sectors theory.

Finite Temperature Sum Rules in Lattice Gauge Theory

We derive non-perturbative sum rules in SU(N) lattice gauge theory at finite temperature. They relate the susceptibilities of the trace anomaly and energy-momentum tensor to temperature derivatives of the thermodynamic potentials. Two of them have been derived previously in the continuum and one is new. In all cases, at finite latttice spacing there are important corrections to the continuum su...

Dynamic SU(2) Lattice Gauge Theory at Finite Temperature

The dynamic relaxation process for the (2+1)–dimensional SU(2) lattice gauge theory at critical temperature is investigated with Monte Carlo methods. The critical initial increase of the Polyakov loop is observed. The dynamic exponents θ and z as well as the static critical exponent β/ν are determined from the power law behaviour of the Polyakov loop, the autocorrelation and the second moment a...

Dirac zero - modes in compact U ( 1 ) gauge theory

We study properties of the zero and near-zero eigenmodes of the overlap Dirac operator in compact U (1) gauge theory. In the confinement phase the exact zero-modes are localized as found by studying the values of the inverse participation ratio and other features. Non-zero-eigenmodes are less localized in the confinement phase. In the Coulomb phase no zero-modes are observed and the eigenmodes ...

in finite temperature large N gauge theory

We use a ten dimensional dual string background to study aspects of the physics of large N four dimensional SU(N) gauge theory, where its fundamental quarks are charged under a background electric field. The theory is N = 2 supersymmetric for vanishing temperature and electric field. We work in a limit where the quarks do not back-react. At zero temperature, we observe that the electric field i...

A finite temperature investigation of dual superconductivity in the modified SO(3) lattice gauge theory

We study the SO(3) lattice gauge theory in 3+1 dimensions with the adjoint Wilson action modified by a Z2 monopole suppression term and by means of the Pisa disorder operator. We find evidence for a finite temperature deconfinement transition driven by the condensation of U(1) magnetic charges. A finite-size scaling test shows consistency with the critical exponents of the 3D Ising model. Latti...
